Thrombosis Australia is an initiative of the Perth Blood Institute, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with blood disorders. Thrombosis Australia and Thrombosis Australia Professionals sit side by side to meet professional and community needs in the field of thrombosis.
We have established an advisory panel to provide oversight and direction to Thrombosis Australia, to ensure that the information we provide is current and accurate. The panel consists of eminent healthcare professionals that collectively bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Thrombosis Australia Initiative. The breadth of their collective experience covers a range of clinical and academic interests relating to blood disorders, including distinguished editorial roles, clinical trial design and management, teaching, and extensive authorship.
The advisory panel sets the benchmark for the quality, accuracy, and currency of information by critically evaluating and reviewing content, and offers dynamic perspectives and advice to maintain oversight of the purpose and usefulness of the Thrombosis Australia Initiative in the fight against venous thromboembolism.
The panel is chaired by David Macey, member of the Perth Blood Institute's Board of Directors.
