Attention year 11 students – take part in our Medical Science Encounters!

PBI offers this program to support students wanting to gain work experience in medical research.

Our researchers and scientists focus on major blood disorders relevant to the Western Australian community. Participants can expect engagement in exciting basic science and translational molecular biology research utilising cutting edge technology directed at understanding the mechanism of blood disorders and the development of novel treatment strategies.

Over the course of the morning you will get your hands dirty with a range of experiments to get a taste of a career in medical science and understand why people bleed.

Program speakers

You will engage with PBI scientists as they explain their area of research and lead you through your own experiments.

Please note: The full program of speakers and topics will be released closer to the time.

There is no cost to this event, however places are capped at 20 students.
